It’s Hollywood on the Hudson Week, and a thousand of LA’s biggest stars descend on New York. The Mayor wants to dazzle them with the city’s state-of-the art film production facilities. But one man has re-written the Mayor’s script. His vision is to kill as many of Hollywood’s heaviest hitters as he can. Within hours, the city’s welcome mat has turned into a blood-red carpet. And that’s just Act One.
It’s the most daunting challenge of Detective Zach Jordan’s career, and it gets even more complicated when he’s teamed up with NYPD Red’s newest recruit, Detective Kylie MacDonald. Kylie is a loose cannon — a rogue cop who will break every rule to get the job done. She’s also the only woman to break Zach’s heart. But there’s no time for personal baggage — Zach and Kylie only have hours to track down a madman before he executes his explosive finale.
As it says on the book jacket — “With larger-than-life action, relentless speed, and white-knuckle twists, NYPD Red is the next mega-blockbuster from ‘The Man Who Can't Miss.’" (TIME)

PRAISE FOR NYPD RED
THE PLOTTING AND PACING ARE SPOT-ON. Patterson and Karp lead us across a metaphorical high wire over shark-infested waters with chum taped to our ankles, keeping the tension high by swinging the wire back and forth as we cross. It is bravura storytelling, a grand example of the best the genre has to offer. More! More! - Scott Coffman, Courier-Journal
